              United States of America

LÖSEV's survivors came together with other cancer survivors from all around the world in USA

              HEROES

Five young girls who are leukemia survivors and have achieved remarkable accomplishments at school, started on a journey to the US on July 19, 2008 with the awesome hospitality of Air France & KLM Airlines. They arrived at Camp Good Days & Special Times situated inside the forest, near by the Keuka Lake, Rochester, NY –a peaceful haven- on the 20th.

Their first impression was great and as days followed one another, their joyful laughter rebounded all over the camp. They went fishing in the morning, did archery, swam in the lake, climbed, and went to a nature hike where they found the opportunity to get to know new flora and fauna. While they were doing so many activities they joined hands with children from Dominican Republic, Germany, the Bahamas, Spain, Mexico and USA who had gone through the same experience and pain.

With the power of having met new cultures, having visited a country which they couldn’t even imagine there would be such an opportunity and having gained memories which they will not forget for the rest of their lives, they were screaming “We are stronger now!” Their first aim is to increase awareness towards the enemy: Cancer. They came back home as warriors determined not to lose a friend from this disease and to keep the memory of their lost friends alive.

We want to thank all who gave us support to make them live their lost childhoods; all who made this dream come true for our young girls, and replace sorrowful tears with tears of joy, and all who share their happiness. We are grateful.

              Special Thanks To...
