LOSEV ASSEMBLES YOUNG EUROPEAN CANCER SURVIVORS
IN CAPPADOCIA WITH THE THEME “ART FOR HOPE”

Young cancer survivors from 5 countries including Luxembourg, Hungary, Romania, Poland and Portugal will get together in Turkey through the youth Project “Hands Tenacious of Life” by the main sponsorship of the Center for European Union Education and Youth Programmes and with the hospitality of LOSEV during 6-15th July, 2009.

Practicing different art plays and activities together with Turkish youngsters regarding the theme “Art for Hope,” cancer survivors will intend to build morale and give hope to Turkish children with leukemia who continue to receive treatment.

The activities of the Project “Hands Tenacious of Life” will be implemented in Cappadocia for the first 5 days and in Ankara for the following 4 days, at which totally 30 participants, 4 youngsters and one group leader from each country will take part.

With the sponsorship of Hotel Karlık Evi where young cancer survivors will expound their experiences about cancer and their hopes for the future through art, they will have a chance to practice marbling art and many other traditional Turkish crafts for 5 days. Furthermore, participants from different countries will try to draw a common European Culture Map via presenting their own cultures at culture nights that will be organized during the project.
