Reconnecting with Life in Ankara
It Only Takes One Step to Reconnect with Life
For individuals battling leukemia and cancer, the struggle extends beyond medical treatment. Prolonged therapies often bring psychological, social, and financial challenges that lead to isolation. Healing, however, requires more than medicine — it also needs hope, morale, and support. With this in mind, LÖSEV launched “Reconnecting with Life in Ankara,” implemented with the support of the Ankara Development Agency and hosted at the LÖSEV Village for Children with Leukemia. The project provides free rehabilitation and counseling services for people diagnosed with cancer, survivors, and their families. Our goal is to restore social connections and help participants embrace life with renewed confidence.
Our Purpose
In cancer care, motivation and emotional well-being are as vital as treatment. This project supports participants physically, mentally, and socially.
Through our program, we:

Help participants discover new hobbies and skills,

Organize social and creative activities that strengthen bonds,

Offer a holistic rehabilitation process grounded in solidarity and care.
Rehabilitation and Counseling Services
Each participant receives a tailored program that supports both recovery and post-treatment adaptation.
Art Workshops: Painting, pottery, and Ebru (traditional paper marbling)
Recreational Activities: Dance, yoga, laughter therapy, photography
Psychological Support: Group sessions, one-to-one counseling, peer circles
Stronger Together Through Partnerships
This initiative grows with the support of volunteer trainers, local governments, and civil society organizations. Together with Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, Altındağ Municipality, Artosfer Art House, the Photographic Arts Association, and other partners, we continue to bring hope and motivation to those in need.
